“What?” rant.
Sometimes I read things on my tumblr feed/meet people/see twitter/call someone/see a forum post blah blah and just think; jeez. You need to hang out with the right kind of people.
People who laugh at you, take umbridge with your lifestyle choices and question everything you do because they are an ignorant twat aren’t worth hanging round with.
People who laugh WITH you, accept your lifestyle choices and question everything you do BECAUSE THEY ARE INTERESTED AND CARE are worth hanging around with.
It’s important to have friends you disagree with on fundamental levels. People who are and think differently from you. How will you learn, otherwise? Your life will be dull and unenriched without them. As long as you are there for each other it shouldn’t matter. As long as you genuinely care for each other you’ll get past your problems even if you just agree to disagree!
I wish people could tell the difference between friends and acquaintances.. Better.
As a hint… These people are rare. When you find them treasure them. Love them. Don’t push them away. You’ll need them and they’ll need you. Just remember the give and take.
